How to Use

As with all onigiri, we recommend using Japanese rice (short grain rice). Brown rice works too but may not stick together as well as white rice.

• Prep: Lightly wet the inside of the cat head mold with water to prevent sticking.
• Fill: Pack rice into the mold using the handle to hold it steady.
• Shape: Press down firmly using the lid piece to compress the rice into the cat shape.
• Release: Flip the mold over and press the center to release the rice ball onto your plate or bento box.
• Cut: Place a sheet of nori seaweed or a slice of cheese/ham onto the silicone mat. Use the cutters to punch out the facial features.
• Decorate: Use chopsticks or tweezers to place your features. Pro tip: Use a tiny bit of mayo as "glue" if the nori won't stay in place!
